Marshall County Community Resource and Education Center (MCCREC), is a 501(c)3 organization, committed to assisting families with identifying and accessing the resources they need to achieve independence.  MCCREC owns Lincoln Center, a renovated grade school, and the surrounding block.

MCCREC was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 2003.  In 2004, MCCREC assumed lead agency for Marshall County Infant-Toddler Services.  The following year, Unified School District #364, Marysville, sold the Lincoln School and the surrounding block to MCCREC.  A Smart Start planning grant was awarded the same year and in 2006, a Smart Start implementation grant was awarded.  The Smart Start grant was renewed in 2007.

Lincoln Center houses Parents-As-Teachers, Smart Start, Infant-Toddler Services, La Leche League, Case Management Services, a Highland Community College regional outreach office, Greenbush, Pony Express Learning Center, a GED program, Workforce Investment Act program, Early Head Start home visitation program and NEK-CAP Community Services.

Since 2005, a new Head Start preschool and offices for Social and Rehabilitation Services and Pawnee Mental Health have been constructed on Lincoln Center Campus.  The dream of a “one-stop-shop,” where families could find many of the support services they need, has become a substantial reality.
